Clayton Award Program Honors the Achievement
CLAYTON September 30, 2015 -- Wayne Miller
Photography has been selected for the 2015 Best of Clayton Award in the
Portrait Studio category by the Clayton Award Program.
Each year, the Clayton Award Program identifies
companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in
their local community and business category. These are local companies
that enhance the positive image of small business through service to
their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make
the Clayton area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and
analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2015 Clayton Award

Clayton, CA- Photographer Earns Master of Photography
Wayne Miller of Wayne Miller Photoartist recognized for superior image making and photographic service with a degree from Professional Photographers of America
Clayton, CA February 7, 2015— Wayne Miller of Wayne Miller Photography has earned the master of photography degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Mr. W. Miller by PPA president Susan Michal, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, ABI, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held February 1-3, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee.
The master of photography degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Mr. W. Miller has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded this degree in recognition of his superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition, advanced education and service to the profession.

Local Photographer's Work Goes to International Loan Exhibition
Wayne Miller Photoartist is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.
Clayton, CA August 5, 2014 "Live Fast and Die Young" created by Wayne Miller of Wayne Miller Photoartist has recently been accepted into the LOAN Collection of Professional Photographers of America's 2014 International Photographic Competition. Miller's work will be on display at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee Feb. 1-3, 2015. This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers and several photographic associations.
A panel of 45 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,000 total submitted entries at Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia. Judged against a standard of excellence, just over 1,800 images were selected for the General Collection and 918 (roughly 18 percent) were selected for the esteemed Loan Collection—the best of the best. The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much-anticipated "Loan Collection" book and over 200 selected General Collection images will be published in the "Showcase" book by Marathon Press.
Titled "Live Fast and Die Young", Miller's photograph will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition and traveling and special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world's largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered simultaneously under one roof.

Local Photographer Earns Craftsman Degree
Wayne Miller Photoartist was recognized for helping advance education and move the photography industry forward.
Clayton, CA January 17, 2011 Wayne Miller Photoartist in Claton, CA has earned the photographic craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree was presented to Miller by PPA president Ralph J. Romaguera, Sr., M.Photog.Hon.M.Photog.Cr., CPP, API, F-ASP, at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, held January 12-14, 2014, in Phoenix, Ariz.
This degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that Miller has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. he has been awarded the photographic craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author and mentor.

Miller earned this designation after meeting rigorous requirements measuring his artistic and technical competence. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission currently recognizes less that 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers.
The Professional Photographic Certification Commission is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals.
